IN2:00-IST: Today Financial secretary-IAL Mr. Sarwar Malik had an interactive session with *Prof Anil Gupta and Vice Chancellor of IUST Awantipora* along with few young innovators throughout the valley.
University of Science & Technology has, recently, set up Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development, with an aim of broad outreach and focus on corporate training, Entrepreneurship, and Innovations.
The Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation Development, IUST Awantipora in collaboration with GIAN conducted Innovator – Industry Meet. The said session was presided by Prof Anil Gupta and Vice Chancellor of IUST Awantipora. The idea was to understand the innovation ecosystem in the region and explore the possibilities of networking and collaborations.
Mr. Malik welcomed the young innovators and their ideas, and assured them full support for any sort incubation, skill development in terms of innovation and technology at IGC Lassipora. He added that industrialists at IGC Lassipora has capacity to encourage such talented youngsters, and their innovative ideas, and provide space for new market related innovations.
Mr. Malik also added that our association IAL under the presidentship of Mr. Mohammad Muzaffar are already working on setting up a full-fledged highly sophisticated incubation centre at IGC Lassipora, for which they have also forwarded their proposals to various departments such as MSME etc.
Mr. Malik also added that there is a vast need of such innovations in kashmir, however there should be some sort of upliftment and revival of existing J&K startup policy. There should also be grants given to those innovators who wish to patent their innovations.
IUST Awantipora is highly motivated and interested in playing its role in promoting Innovations and Entrepreneurship in the region.
